New Resource in Purebred Dogs

Pure Dog Talk is The VOICE of purebred dogs…

pure_dog_talk-logo17
I started hosting Pure Dog Talk as a way to reach out to members of the purebred dog fancy with education and resources to help them succeed and move forward in their goals and ambitions. This podcast is for you! If I don’t know the answer, I guarantee I know someone who does… and we’ll be hooking you up with those people.

We talk to the legends of the sport and give you tips and tools to create an awesome life with your purebred dog. From showing to preservation breeding, from competitive obedience to field work, from agility to therapy dogs and all the fun in between; your passion is our purpose.

We bring you the best 20th century knowledge in a 21st century format. JOIN us in supporting great content. We are YOUR *listener supported* Pure DOG Talk. Your pledge at https://patron.podbean.com/puredogtalk helps us keep this “fountain of knowledge” flowing freely.

Our Journey and Purpose:
*Archive the mentoring and knowledge of our Master Breeders, handlers and judges.
*Support new people in the sport and have them bring a friend!
*Turn our emphasis from winning, ranking, and ribbons, to a greater understanding of our breeds and their future.

“Purebred dogs are history and art. They are beauty and brains. They are living, breathing conduits to our past and to our future. They are our heart and our soul…and they are so much more.” — Laura Reeves, Host, PureDogTalk

All of us who are breeders, exhibitors, handlers and judges are the curators of the purebred dog. At PureDogTalk, we support preservation breeders and the rights of everyone to own the dog of their choice, and responsibly ensure the future of their breed.

Pure Dog Talk is a proud supporter of the American Kennel Club, our Parent, Specialty and All-Breed Clubs, Dog Sports, Therapy, Service and the Preservation of our Canine Companions.

The Scotia Kennel History

Henry

My journey with GWP began with a “free to good home” bitch in 1982 that mom heard about on the radio. More than 35 years later, my passion for these wicked smart, high drive, high energy bird dogs has not faded. Since the first Scotia Dawgs were born in 1996, they have earned more than 100 titles in the conformation ring, field trials, hunt tests, agility, obedience, tracking and NAVHDA. Our dogs prove conclusively that you don’t have to hunt over an ugly dog. Conformationally correct dogs with sound, reliable temperaments, raised from birth specifically to be confident and well-adjusted, are superior at every conceivable sport. Owners who are willing to work in a team with these dogs, challenge their brains and exercise their bodies will find no better companion. Visit us on Facebook for more photos, history and information. We look forward to welcoming you into our family. We are proud supporters of Junior Showmanship and ALL young people who want to become involved in purebred dogs at any level.

2014 Clumber National Success

The 2014 Clumber Spaniel Club of America National Specialty was a big success for Laura and her hardworking team of handlers and groomers. Among the many ribbons won include:
7 – 10 Year Old Veteran Bitch – Champion Raven’s China Lilly CGC “China” (BIS Ch. Jet Set’s The Right Stuff X Ch. Clussexx Sweet and Low Down). Just about everyone on the team took a turn at handling China.
